Inventory and Material Supply Supervisor
We are looking for a responsible person to work for our client in Corby to perform the following duties:
·
Develop the component stores from its current open model to restricted access
·
Install and administer a reliable
and accurate goods in procedure
·
Introduce a unified procedure and expedite the checks on quality, quantity and suitability of incoming goods, using measuring equipment as necessary.
·
Liaise with suppliers to correct and eliminate defects with an uncompromising insistence on quality
·
Ensure the smooth supply of components to assembly stations at the right time and in the right quantity
·
Ensure that stock records are maintained fully updated using the MRP data system
·
Introduce and run Kanban systems from cell to store
·
Introduce and administer cycle counting of goods
·
Develop routine stock checks of extruded and bar material as part of the process planning procedure
·
Organise and expedite the annual stock-take
·
Accept the challenge of a leading role in the improvement of the following Key Performance Indicators
a)
Stock reduction and increased turns (with other members of the team)
b)
Improved supplier quality performance (key priority)
c)
Reduction in stock-outs and stock record accuracy (key priority)
The successful applicant will be computer literate and be able to operate an MRP system, plus Microsoft Office (Word, excel etc). Reach and Counterbalance FLT certificates would be an advantage.
