Your duties will be:
To organise and control the production. Ensuring that the product is of the highest quality and meets customer requirements/specifications whilst continually improving operational performance and minimising scrap.
Tasks:
·
To effectively manage the shift operators to maximise production output and meet targets
·
To ensure manpower allocation is appropriate
·
To provide cover for the Senior Foreman during absence
·
To resolve and implement solutions to production problems
·
To ensure operators consistently follow procedures
·
To ensure that paint change times are within targets specified
·
To ensure paint, spools, pallets and polycoat are available on the line as production demands
·
To provide and assist with the training of operators
·
To ensure that product is of the highest quality and meets customer requirements, eg correct coil size, weight, IDs
·
To be prepared to give 'hands on’ help when required to minimise downtime on the Paintline or when operator cover is unavailable
·
Attend regular shift meetings to communicate information and discuss issues of performance, process, etc, and holding them in the Senior Foreman’s absence
Responsibilities:
·
To ensure compliance to the Company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policies
·
To ensure compliance with ISO 9002 quality standards
·
To highlight any Health & Safety concerns to the Senior Foreman
·
To report machine malfunctions and breakdowns to the Senior Foreman and/or Maintenance Department as appropriate
·
To assist the Senior Foreman in arranging operator cover for absence or additional shifts
·
To continually improve 5S on Paintline
·
To support the Senior Foreman and to cover as necessary
·
To be responsible for site security, in conjunction with the Senior Foreman
·
To highlight any personnel issues to the Senior Foreman
·
To recommend changes to procedures to improve efficiency
Authorities:
·
Recommend remedial action to Health and Safety concerns
·
Effect repairs to machinery when required
·
Recommend actions to minimise scrap and improve efficiency
·
Recommend actions to resolve personnel issues
·
Line stop/start
·
Plant and product fault finding
·
Plan and organise all activities (training, meetings) required to achieve personal objectives
